Je koi aakhe apne keete gyaan rab da pa layiye;
Panje waqt namazan parh ke allaah paak rijha layiye.
Fer fer mala de manke kismat nun palta layiye;
Pathan naal jan jot jaga ke suttee bhaag jaga layiye.
Aap muhare kujh nahi hunda je kar guru rijhayiye na;
Kahe avtar rehmat de dar ton je rab mangan jaayiye na.

If one says that divine knowledge can be attained by self-effort;
And that God can be pleased by offering prayer five times a day regularly.
And that the destiny can be changed by turning the beads of the rosary;
And that the sleeping fortune can be made to smile by reciting holy scriptures or by lighting the sacred lamp.
Self-effort is of no avail without pleasing the True Master;
Avtar says, God cannot be realized unless one knocks at the divine door of
benevolence (of the True Master) and seeks to realize God.

Meaning
This verse talks about the importance of the True Master in the realization of God. If one says that God knowledge can be attained on their own, God can be pleased by offering Namaz (Prayer) five times a day regularly and that anyone's destiny can be changed by turning the string of prayer beads (Beads of Rosary) and if someone thinks that sleeping fortune can be awakened by reciting (reading of verse) holy scriptures or by lighting a lamp. One should realize that satisfying one's own desires (self-willed) can be of no benefit in realizing God without pleasing the True Master. Realization of God is possible only by knocking at the divine door of the True Master and not by going through the rituals and religious acts.
